Where, When and How I Teach

Online

For the better part of 2021, I will be teaching online, via video services like Google Meet, Zoom, Skype or Facetime. I may use other services for my MacEwan University and Metro Continuing Education classes, but my personal clients, Google Meet or Zoom will be the most likely methods of training.

My intention is to move exclusively to online training, as it is the most efficient way I can deal with the most clients without wasting time or money on things like travel. So new clients who are willing to work with me online will be given preference.

Haven’t done online training before? Then contact me using any of the methods listed on my contact page. Sure, it takes a little getting used to, but at present, it is the safest way to go!

Business Hours

My personal tutorial hours can be booked from 9 am to noon and 1 pm to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. I find that for most people an hour of online training is often quite enough, but I will consider booking longer timeslots.

Fee

At present, I am charge $50 an hour plus GST for tutorials. I offer a complimentary first chat to figure out what your needs are, and if I can fulfill them. At the end of this “getting to know you meeting”, we can decide whether or not you want to proceed to book an actual tutorial. If you decide not to, no problem (but most people do wind up booking a tutorial with me, just sayin’).

TRAVEL: I live in Bonnie Doon, so if you are located in a different part of the city, and you want a house call (AFTER COVID IS UNDER CONTROL), I will get a cab fare estimate and that will be added to the tutorial fee.

Face to Face Training

(most of this is now severely restricted due to the pandemic, but in the fall, I may be returning to face to face teaching at the following locations).

The time, location and fee for training for these classes/sessions/tutorials is dictated by the organization, so please take a look at their course catalogs for more details. (click on their name to be taken to their website for more details about how they are handling training during the pandemic).
